Just as with last week's edition of Enlightened Listening, the focus is on the future and we've got a great taste of it not just in the three diverse, yet equally awesome albums from Nömak, Maceo Plex and Plant43, but also in the trio of super-duos: the return of Dog Blood (Boys Noize & Skrillex), Anti Up (Chris Lake & Chris Lorenzo) and the newly founded Europa (Jax Jones & Martin Solveig). Rounding out the playlists are two beautiful takes on Luttrell's "Into Clouds," the killer combination of NGHTMRE & A$AP Ferg, and the versatility of Diplo as he does house. Stream below and enjoy!

Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: BLANSH - Check This
The eyes of the electronic music world are on Miami as the annual pilgrimage has begun. Labels have been releasing their showcase compilations for at least a month in anticipation of the countless events and hours upon hours of music being shared on the shores of Atlantic. "Check This" is just one of nine tracks on the compilation which can be downloaded free/streamed here. Grab it now and enjoy it on Bump In The Hump tonight.
Following last week's trend towards warmer weather and brighter beats we'll once again welcome a slew of spring and summer type tunes, while still returning to bass heavy bangers in the Fire Finale. There's tracks from Dabin, Hudson Lee and The Funk Hunters albums, a handful of artist debuts, a take on Skrillex's classic "Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites" and so much more. John Summit - Dimension
Just shy of the two year anniversary of the inception of Sinden's Houseline, Chicago-based producer John Summit just released the two track Dimension EP. Sharing not just a part of its title but some of the same sonic DNA as Tiga's "Mind Dimension," the title track is indeed a look into some distant future or alternate reality. Its power is undeniable as the acid tinged and warped synths pulsate with supernova like strength. It is utterly intoxicating as its interstellar atmosphere leaves you both breathless and wobbly, in spite of its reliable house foundation. A peak-time push towards to the floor, this joint is sure to get the whole house moving. Get it, and thumping b-side "Tripz" with Tombz, here.FOLLOW JOHN SUMMMIT: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER

Melba Moore - You Got Me Loving You (Dr Packer Rework)
Perth power player, Dr Packer remains one of the hottest commodities when it comes to nu-disco and jackin house. Currently laying claim to two tracks in the top 30 of Traxsource's main chart, the good doctor just upped his disco dosage with a take on Melba Moore's "You Got Me Loving You" from 1980 album Closer. As always, Dr Packer delivers a reinvigorating rework instantly ready to hit the decks and get the party started. The funky grooves of the original remain largely intact, however they've been built up bigger, longer and stronger, filling the now six and a half minute delivery with a fat, four on the floor, house heartbeat. The drums, sweeping risers, sublime strings and brilliant brass flow fantastically together giving the track an exceptional ease and heartening warmth. At the time of writing there is no indication as to where one can acquire this cool creation, but I will update if/when it becomes available. Until then, stream to your hearts content and follow Dr Packer's socials below.FOLLOW DR PACKER: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER

Enlightened Listening for March 23
A day later than usual, but with the futuristic leanings of so many of the releases in this edition of Enlightened Listening, you could say it's actually early. Of course everyone is talking about Flume's fantastic return, but equally brilliant and epic is Shlohmo's The End. Taking a different approach to the future, Henry Saiz plays with his synths in mystifying fashion for Digital Mirages Vol. 1. After that comes a trio of techno releases including the utterly intoxicating "Puppets" from Patrice Bäumel, Denis Horvat's Miracle Of The Rose EP from which "Noise" made waves in Tale Of Us' Afterlife Voyage 013 mix, and a stunning collab between Kölsch and Sasha. House then follows with Jack Back dropping a dope Defected release and Matroda's mean The RED Tape - Side A EP. Finally, the enigmatic and always adventurous Mr. Oizo offers up 4 more pieces of mind-fuckery, concluding in the auspicious "Nuque." Find the full playlist below and each individual release linked at the bottom. Enjoy!
Flume - Hi This Is Flume
Shlohmo - The End
Henry Saiz - Digital Mirages Vol. 1
Patrice Bäumel - Puppets
Denis Horvat - Miracle Of The Rose
Kölsch & Sasha - The Lights
Jack Back - Survivor / Put Your Phone Down (Low)

Wuki & Ape Drums ft. Nicky Da B - Bed Squeak (ACRAZE Remix)
Ever since its inception, WUKILEAKS has been consistently loosing some of the most laconic and wild club killers mankind has ever seen. Like an archer atop a tower, Wuki has been shooting arrows of energy into DJ's quivers and this latest leak is no different. Orlando's ACRAZE has unleashed hell with this cataclysmic decimation of "Bed Squeak." Operating at a blistering pace pulverizing the previously three minute original down into less than two, there's no time to catch your breath or really do anything except loose your mind as you bounce up and down, absolutely and entirely, unhinged. ACRAZE will put you to sleep with a power punch to the jaw with free download via ToneDen here.

Dugong Jr. ft. Austen - Holding On (Qrion Remix)
Queen of captivating, cool electronic craft-work Qrion once again wows with a resplendent remix of Dugong Jr's "Holding On." Out now on Mad Decent, this mix is like a magic blanket; snugly and soft, cozy and calming, once you embrace its touch you become forever transfixed with once again reliving its euphoric feeling. Qrion's designs are as blissful and beautiful as ever, only heightening the heavenly altitude of Austen's vocals. It is dreamy and dancey, while never feeling too ethereal or domineering, capturing the essence of the original while warming its BPM with a more brisk pace. Frankie Knuckles ft. Jamie Principle - Baby Wants To Ride (Don Rimini Refix)
Bunkaball boss, Don Rimini opened up his vault this weekend sharing a refix of the legendary Frankie Knuckles track "Baby Wants To Ride." Compacting the eight and a half minute Chicago house epic into a tight five and a half minute affair, Rimini leaves the sexy soul of the original intact while of course adding his trademark mix of acid tinged techno and ghetto house. While the original 1987 Trax Records release plays out more like a sweep you off your feet story, Rimini's 2019 update is more focused on the dance-floor and keeping you moving, calling it "not a remix, just a refix." Even if it's just a reminder of the brilliance of the dearly departed Frankie Knuckles or an excuse to inject a little nostalgia into your day, this update is indeed laudable. Enlightened Listening for March 15
Right to the point with this week's Enlightened Listening. No descriptions below just a straight shot of more melodic stuff to start moving towards twisted trap at the end. A big beautiful album from Karma Fields kicks things off, CRi and Ben Böhmer's EPs follow, slick singles from Basti Grub, Pete Tong and Carl Cox then round out the techno section. Dr. Fresch and Sinden then link up for a couple killer bass house tracks, and the energy only rises from there with High Contrast taking on Stevie Nicks "Edge Of Seventeen." The final seven selections then bring the bass with a couple top notch trap EPs, but special attention must be paid to Riton's remix of The Chemical Brothers. The more I hear from them, originals and remixes alike, the more baited my breath becomes in waiting for No Geography.

Throwback Thursday: Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (Louis La Roche Remix)
Just yesterday I noticed it's been a while since my last Throwback Thursday post and since serendipity struck as today I came across another remix of "Running Up That Hill," it's only right to share yet another one of the awe-inspiring remixes from the masterful Louis La Roche.
The quality and staying power of Kate Bush's original is obvious as it continues to get plays, open ears and garner edits alike, but let me take you back to 2012 when Brit Brett Ewels took to his French touch persona to give the 1985 classic even more triumphant glistening glory. Letting the brilliant backing loose, La Roche strengthens the synths and makes room for a marching, ascendant beat. The chord progressions still pluck our heartstrings with an angelic efficacy, however the dancier delivery is more rooted in the bass/base. And for this La Roche has added extended instrumental sections for feeling out the room and becoming one with the dance-floor. It may not be the 12" edit we're seeing a lot of lately, but there's certainly a lot of bang for you buck with this one. Stream below, and if you find it up your alley, do not hesitate to look into more of Louis La Roche's productions from this time period.FOLLOW LOUIS LA ROCHE: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER

Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Rezz & 1788-L - H E X (Dropwizz Bootleg)
Friend of the show Kavi Indatissa returns to his Dropwizz moniker for a beastly bootleg mix of Rezz and 1788-L's "H E X." Seemingly combining all of the fetid facets that make up his recent rancid remixes, this production is pure putrescence in the best way possible. It oozes ominous and drips with disgust, sending sickening shivers down your spine, especially as the original malodorous melody succumbs to the stank of Dropwizz's diabolic design. Get free download here and find it in the mix tonight. After one of the most house heavy episodes of Bump In The Hump to date, we've got one hell of a hard hitting episode with more menacing midtempo, depraved dubstep and tainted trap than you can shake a stick at. That said, there's some brilliantly beautiful tracks from Dabin, Sleepy Tom and ATTLAS, whose tour stops at CODA this Saturday (RSVP/Tickets). Catch all that and more live from 7-9 PM EDT via Radio Humber or as cataloged after the fact via Mixcloud.

Paul Mond - 4 Flips, 4 Days
Future indie bounce originator, Paul Mond recently wrapped up a run of four flips in four days. Breathing new life into the likes of Fergie, Sean Paul, Ciara and Gloria Estefan, this endeavor saw Mond both break new ground with riddim and dub, as well as return to his baile funk roots.
Opening the edit journey, "Fergalicious" gets recast with a playful Latin energy and amorous allure that the original never quite captured. Fergie stays aboard for the second flip as her Black Eyed Peas crew and "Pump It" lay the foundation for tightly wound affair that gets a sprinkle of Sean Paul in the second half. Of all four flips, this one is both closest to the 'original' yet perhaps the most original in its own right. His manipulations of "Pump It" perfectly play around the vocals both original and otherwise, once again adding an awesome, refreshing allure. Diving deeper into Mond's master play, "1, 2 Step" receives an albeit brief, yet classy bounce roll out. Finally, the energy gets an uptick as "Conga" gets pumped up with a dope drum delivery, both bolstering the original vocal hooks and allowing for 'extended' baile breaks.
Especially considering the time constraints, each of the four flips are fantastic fun and incredible introductions to the prolific producer that is Paul Mond. Find each individually available for purchase via his Bandcamp here, and be sure to follow his socials below as he's always posting quality content.FOLLOW PAUL MOND: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER

Mija & JR Slayer - Stay A Little Longer
Always adventurous with her productions, Mija has once again paved a path of her own with self-released single "Stay A Little Longer." Combining forces with JR Slayer, the track is a spine-tingling blend of indie unease and electronic irksomeness. Distorted and dark, struggle is at the centre of this story, both sonically as her voice is at times blurred by the almost egregious electronic elements, and thematically as the lyrics point to an inner conflict. Personally I'm drawn to "Stay A Little Longer" as it strikes the same chord as much of Blonde Redhead's discography, a band I gorged myself on throughout my university existence. It is as though it were made just for me, knowing my love for both Blonde Redhead and the infinite options inherent in electronic music. As noted above, "Stay A Little Longer" is self-released and available absolutely free via Mija's Bandcamp here.FOLLOW MIJA: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER

Enlightened Listening for March 8
We've got an extra funky Friday full of releases for this week's edition of Enlightened Listening. There's a couple cool albums of the groovier house variety, opposed by the despair driven darkness of Gesaffelstein's first album in over five years. There's also excellent EPs from Jon Gurd and Joe Goddard, as well as some sick singles from Don Rimini and Juelz, plus a couple sublime remixes from Folamour and Joris Voorn. Stream via Spotify playlist below and find descriptions at the bottom. Enjoy!
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Energy Fantasy (Folamour Remix)
Fantastic opening track. The drum work dazzles beneath bright and beautiful, soaring synths.
Birdee - Then Came The Sun
There are no holes in this album. Full on funky fun with awesome vocal driven and instrumental tracks alike. Big bold beats like "Love" and "Rumours" and more spacious, slow-burning sensations like "Meant To Be" and "Don't Give Up Your Love."
Locked Groove - Sunset Service
A lot like Birdee above, the funk is strong with this one; however, the energy is kicked up a notch, as immediately noted in "Pudding." Verging on classic rave vibes, there's no shortage of dance energy at the core of these tracks. They can be dark and dirty like "Zillion" or bright and ethereal like "Out Of Orbit."
Yotto - Walls (Joris Voorn Remix)
The typical top notch brilliance of Voorn is on full display here. As always, the extended offering allows the ease of "Walls" to breathe its beauty into your soul.
Jon Gurd - After It All
Like Folamour above, the drum work throughout this EP lays a fantastic foundation for the swirling synths to dance around. While it opens skyward in its projection, After It All gets deeper as it progresses.
Joe Goddard - Pull The Plug
My most anticipated release of the year so far. Each track is exceptionally designed, delivering some seriously sick grooves. "Sacred Heart" is both hypnotic and brilliantly bumping. "Max De Fool" builds on this hypnotism, turning further towards techno before Kool Keith cuts the chord with a wild get-down and fulsome flow on the title track. Finally, the fire inducing, furious drum opening of "Broken" will have you on your ass when the beat finally drops. Unreal.
Don Rimini - Homeboy
Bleepy shuffling brilliance. Not an all time stunner, but a surefire party starter.
Gesaffelstein - Hyperion
Expectations are dangerous. Expecting an artist to craft the same kind of tracks they did nearly a decade ago is foolhardy. No, this is not Variations, Conspiracy or even Aleph, but yes, it is still Gesaffelstein. His genius is still there; just like any of us, he's changed/evolved/grown over the years. Admittedly, I was not big on any of the singles, especially after the first few listens, however they've grown on me and now I'm quite the fan of both of the features. Of course I'm here for HAIM, and The Hacker/Electric Youth collab is incredibly intriguing, but the three track finale is perhaps the best bit of this whole endeavor. It's a bit soundtrack-ish, but hey, he's always had those proclivities and if you're not a fan of quality soundtrack stuff like John Williams, Wendy Carlos, Alan Menken and others, you're kind of missing the point...
Juelz - Closure (ft. Ruby Chase)
Finally, Juelz gives us our first taste of his Shanghai Nights EP, due out May 3rd on Fool's Gold. His club capabilities are on full display as he blends trap and future bass better than I've hear in a while.

dipsmith - jubilee
I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, there's just something about Aussies and the disco/house they put out that satisfies my soul. After another frustrating scroll through Soundcloud today I turned to their feature "The Upload" and was greeted by Sydney-based house output pig palace and their most recent release, "jubilee" from Newcastle duo dipsmith. Seemingly just their second release as they're still just starting to make waves, they ditch the exceptionally chill vibes of "better in time" for a more upbeat offering in this new sample driven production. Laying down a strong percussion backing from the get-go, the track grows and eventually explodes with splashy brass whitecaps pulling any willing dancer to the center of the floor, and from there the get-down is on. You can feel the blood pumping through it as the track bursts to life, even offering up live crowd sounds as it reaches its conclusion.
"jubilee" is exactly the kind of jackin disco house joint I was looking for and you can have it absolutely free via dipsmith's brand new Bandcamp here.

Last week, duo Cloverdale unleashed their Eat That Remixes, with their own VIP version coming early enough that I was able to slide it into last week's episode. We'll once again return to that east coast well for one of ASUR, AWAL or dope's remixes, all of which can be copped absolutely free below. In another absolutely jam packed two hour, all Canadian extravaganza, we've got a handful of Radio Humber first plays, as well as some of our most played artists including CastNowski, Tennyson and Memphis. There's more free downloads than you can shake a stick at, plus one of the best sample driven productions in recent memory as KH (Keiran Hebden) aka Four Tet flips Nelly Furtado's "Afraid" into garage genius. SHROOM - Lady
Self described "Perth Disco/House head," SHROOM has seemingly been experimenting for the last few months, authoring ambient, tech house and disco tracks alike. After November's tongue-in-cheek track "Disco Tech," the adventuresome DJ has flipped that title into a genre with the soul snatching "Lady."
Available for free download via TFM, this five minute affair is immediately alluring as the ethereal vocal warbles atop the growing groove. It is an undeniable disco delight, filtering in and out flights of fancy, as percussion propels the track further towards the dance-floor. The little piano licks and plethora of percussion keep the track interesting, but it wouldn't be half the heartening experience without the complimentary male vocal risers, that play perfectly against the aforementioned warbles.
SHROOM has found incredible success in this blend of bumping tech house beats and disco's undeniable enchantment. Get the free download of "Lady" here and be sure to check out SHROOM's sensational "Day Drinkers Mix" which includes a number of awesome edits, remixes and more!FOLLOW SHROOM: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUDTWITTER

Enlightened Listening for March 1
Fridays never fail, and while last week was a tough one to follow, we're once again greeted with a solid selection of new releases. For this edition of Enlightened Listening, I've opted to focus on single tracks, despite a number of the tracks selected appearing on larger releases. Stream and read below.
Barry & Gibbs - I Feel Your Love
The duo's run of originals continues with a brilliant, sample-driven party starter. Groove ready!
KH - Only Human
Kieran Hebdan (aka Four Tet) has been rinsing this Nelly Furtado 'remix' for quite some time. Incredibly hypnotic, it's sure to turn any dance-floor into a tribal rave ritual.
Tennyson - Melonpan
The awe-inspiring genius of Luke & Tess is once again on full display, spinning their way into our hearts with this beyond beautiful number. A truly sublime soundscape.
DROELOE - Only Be Me (Duskus Remix)
The kind of track that warms the cockles of your heart. Reassuring resplendence. My favourite track of the bunch, it is incredibly accessible yet not so drenched in pop that it becomes one of the masses.
Sébastian Léger - Sablier
Fluttery and floating, Seb stays high in the sky with this one, offering up another progressive piece.
Donae'o ft. Belly - Chalice (Chase & Status Remix)
These four minutes fly along, as Chase & Status built a brilliant bed for Donae'o and Belly to do their work. Killer, ominous vibes.
Skene Music - Almost Acid
Seems John has wiped his Soundcloud and Spotify catalogs clean, perhaps with acid? Sorry. If this is his new avenue, I'm totally here for it as the progression and movement here is sick. Almost as sick as the drops, ugh.
Heviicide & Circuit FreaQ - Headbanger
Bursting at the seams, this is one wild number. Electric and explosive, of course it lives up to its name.
Tony Romera - Grimey
Mean and menacing, do not take Tony Romera lightly. He comes at you from every angle: tying your shoes together, hitting you over the head with a steel chair and punching your kidneys, all at the same time.
