CircoLoco Records continues to churn out colourful EPs as they march towards their massive compilation's full release Friday, July 9th. Following the likes of Rampa and DJ Tennis on Monday Dreamin' Blue and Green, respectively, Butch leads the Violet fivesome, which also includes Carl Craig, Margaret Dygas, Red Axes and Luciano. Alongside Butch on "Raindrops" is fellow German talent Kemelion, who lends his voice to the EP's incredible opener. And what an open it is. Right from the jump, Butch bares his brilliance for all to see with a well-crafted percussion bed from which the first vocal chop appears to emanate organically. And really, this is the key to the quality of "Raindrops." While undeniably electronic, it does not feel machine-made but rather restrained, calm and exceptionally cool. It will not blow you away, instead, it will sweep you off your feet with its slow, sublime swells and Kemelion's later, compelling vocals.
