Enlightenment For Your Ears: PhatCap

Since 2017 began, we've had one new Dabin track a month on Bump In The Hump, and that trend continues for April tonight with "The Fall." Fresh off his brilliant debut album Two Hearts, "The Fall" is not only a dramatic display of Dabin's production brilliance, but it is one of the most important pieces in the album's arc. This is something I wrote about in my review of it on FUXWITHIT (read here), particularly when discussing Dabin on the guitar (an integral piece of his live shows) and its role as the connecting red thread. Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Black Beatles (PhatCap! Remix)

Remixer and beat-maker extraordinaire, PhatCap has lent his unique abilities to the viral sensation of the moment, Rae Sremmurd's collab with Gucci Mane, "Black Beatles." There will be no standing still when this drops tonight on Bump In The Hump; the bass is so big, it will not only physically move you, it will alter your entire being. The remix works so well, that it comes as a surprise that PhatCap did not originally set out to remix "Black Beatles," but rather built a beat, before stumbling across a DIY acapella of the first 16 bars.
