I can still remember the exact moment I first heard the track behind this post. As I like to do, I was listening to Hot Tub's episode of My Mixtape on a bike ride and was appropriately awestruck when he concluded his hour with "Moonlight." Following in the footsteps of his previous collaborations with Ben Fox, this track delivers both beautiful instrumentation and infectious electronic grooves. Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Beatmool - Falling EP

While 2020 is largely a disastrous nightmare, the music we've been blessed with is almost enough to counter that fact. My favourite trend in that regard is the resurgence of DnB in North America which has allowed me to inject its energy into each and every show. This week we've got DeVice label boss René LaVice, another epic from Polaris, an introspective offering from AkaHendy and a cut from Beatmool's fantastic Falling EP. Out now on Pulse Palace, the four-tracker features its fair share of guitar and piano atop brilliant and brisk drum beds that combine to create an exceedingly cool nature-scape. Enlightened Listening for May 29

Despite taking the week off both Bump In The Hump and blogging, there's been so much fantastic music released I just had to put together a massive edition of Enlightened Listening. However the weather is calling me back outside so I won't be doing a comprehensive breakdown of the 24 releases, but rather I'll simply suggest a scroll through the playlist which is chock full of all kinds of house along with a sprinkling of fat funk, several sensational remixes and EPs, and a couple epic albums to cap it all off.
