Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Coldwall - Black Waltz

A little over a year ago Coldwall shared their episode of My Mixtape (here) and were seemingly on quite a roll having just released their debut EP, with a handful of remixes set to drop in the following months. And while they never went more than a couple months between releases it turns out Joey was going through something. Enter "Black Waltz" from forthcoming EP Malice, set for release on November 17th, the second anniversary of Coldwall's creation. As is the case for many, music is a form of therapy and while Coldwall's motto or mantra has always been "Digital Sounds, Human Feelings," it has never been more obvious. As he shares in the description of "Black Waltz," Joey has realized his internal conflicts, faced his demons and become their king. Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Tommie Sunshine, Haus Of Panda & Ming - Do You Remember Rave?

What a year it's been for Haus Of Panda who has unleashed more music than months, staying hot with several releases on Brooklyn Fire. Working once again with label head Tommie Sunshine, "Do You Remember Rave?" is the perfect example of Haus Of Panda's penchant for playing with genres inside a singular production. Clearly a throwback banger, it pays respect to the old school rave genres of UK hardcore, garage, breakbeat and warehouse. And tonight it'll be leading off the two hour electronic music extravaganza that is Bump In The Hump, which like this track runs the gamut of genres new and old, from ballroom and DnB to kawaii, midtempo and trap. Coldwall - Binary Breathing

Upon opening my Soundcloud stream, below your usual dubstep and bass house, sat a #future track with what looked to be good dynamics and a cool title. "Binary Breathing" was a sure fire play in my books, but what happened within its first minute will have me coming back for more. Coldwall's crafted an expansive atmosphere of virtual reality, that like the binary code in the image and as in The Matrix, starts to sort it self out into a noticeable pattern. The pulsating pattern comes to life with percussive pops and strobing synths. It is neither dubstep, nor trap, nor future bass. Yet it is an amalgam of each at different times. And really this is the crux, by being able to move so fluidly between sounds and styles, especially the most technological pillars of each genre, Coldwall brings life to the track. I've said it before, but there's really nothing better than human intricacies and the essence of life in electronic music which can at times be unduly lifeless.
