I've been playing a whole bunch of different remixes of "Be Right There," on Bump In The Hump for quite a while now, including the Henry Land and Poe Junior remixes, as well as the Jade bootleg Sleepy Tom dropped last September, as part of his Power Naps Vol. 1. And I've anxiously been awaiting the official remix package ever since I saw the following tweet, and how could you not be?

MK has been absolutely killing it in the past year plus, with monster releases including his remix of Ellie Goulding's "On My Mind," his original with Milly Pye "Bring Me Back To Life," his work as Pleasure State with Lee Foss and Anabel Englund creating the decisively amazing "Ghost In The System," reuniting the powers behind "Electricity." He's also undoubtedly as extraordinary with his remixes for Bakermat "Teach Me," Wankelmut and Emma Louise "My Head Is A Jungle," Rudimental and Becky Hill "Powerless," Sam Smith "Money On My Mind," Haim "If I Could Change Your Mind," Duke Dumont and Jax Jones "I Got U," Lancelot and Antony & Cleopatra "Giving It Up" and who could forget his triumphant return to the scene with his handiwork on Storm Queen's "Look Right Through." I know the list is long but it should be even longer, as I'm sad to say his dub version of Hot Natured "Reverse Skydiving" that appeared in his Essential Mix has still yet to see a release. In short Marc Kinchen is beyond brilliant. And of course that goes for his first rate remix of the aforementioned "Be Right There."
MK does his stuff tweaking the vocals, adding a level of epic-ness, enabling "Be Right There" to fit perfectly in any house party and get played out for a good 7 and a half minute rage fest. Italian producer, Big Fish highlights the piano from the original until things turn dark and animalistic with the filthy drop in stark contrast to the bright and cultured piano driven sections. The duo, Boombox Cartel are on fire coming off their collab with NGHTMRE, and their remix falls right into their flame trap. The drum tuning and timing and overall production value is serious party material; just waiting to kick-start the rapture. Flava D add his bassline mix, which much like the Big Fish mix seemingly comes out of nowhere; subtle and understated sections quickly devolve into a dance off of monumental proportions. It's a super groovy number that will surely leave its listeners clamoring for more.Aussie product, Naderi adds his futuristic bleepy and disjointed style to the original, making it decisively the most unique of all the remixes, adding his own sounds and manipulations, chopping and pitching up the vocals into an almost Keys N Krates like banger of a remix. Last but not least, Gent & Jawns round out the remixers, the duo add flutter and pitch up the vocals while simultaneously adding modulation and maybe even a vocoder to the bass, almost making it say 'donk' with each hit. The real magic however lies in their second drop that adds so many different elements that play so unbelievably well together. It rises and falls with the 'donk-y' bassline, tuned drum work and vocal manipulations that make it sound like Priscilla Renea is singing "my love won't hurt." Finally, sending the track off with some trumpet fanfare, topping off my favourite rendition. Absolutely brilliance from all of the remixers, who have come together to create 6 truly amazing and unique versions of the magical track from Diplo and Sleepy Tom.
