Falcons - Fluidity Vol. 1 (Edits & Bootlegs)

Just over a month ago Falcons unleashed his first Fluidity mixtape. The 36 minute affair overflowed with unreleased "remixes/bootlegs/mashups & fun shit" that included multiples from Missy Elliot, an unreal affair from Oshi and Busta Rhymes, and for those that remember his LOOSIES pack, Falcons' own mix of Clipse "What Happened To That Boy." Now all of the above and more are available as individual releases that you can add to your own playlists, mixes or rotation. Grab the pack free here."Cardi's DNA" was the first thing we heard in the mix and for many will be the track that best defines, and cements Fluidity, as must listen mastery. If you haven't heard of Paul Mond yet you're not doing it right. His "future indie bounce" remixes are some of the coolest things you'll ever hear, and "Ultimate 2007" a perfect fit in Falcons' style. Like the previous two "Missy's Perfume" is the perfect mix of chilling feels and classic vocals. "Work It," which dropped shortly after the mixtape, is an incredible get down set in an apocalyptic future. Continuing that theme, "Sumbody's Potion" sounds like a street-scape with water dripping in beautiful resonance. Then there's my favourite "Brrrrrr" which plays with the classic melody, making it even more awesome, seemingly eliciting even more yuugh's from Pusha with its downright nastiness. Finally there is "Lost At Me Now" which not only leaves us hungering for more Falcons and Fluidity, but quite simply stunned at how well Oshi and Busta work together.

Missy Elliott - Freak (MEMBA Bootleg)

Nearly two months to the day I first came across NYC duo MEMBA, through their original production "Middle Man." Today they've dropped a bootleg mix of Missy Elliott's oft edited classic "Get Ur Freak On." While I only count a handful of elements supporting the salacious vocals of Misdemeanor, it's actually perfect. It leaves room for her snappy flow to really hit, only further encouraging a rap-along from the crowd. Each one of these elements works wonderfully as a guide to groove to; I can easily envision entire dance-floors bobbing, wobbling and shaking to this. Perhaps the most ingenious element of MEMBA's production comes in their use of Missy's percussive flow leading into the eponymous line "Get Ur Freak On." Missy Elliott - She's A Bitch (MikeQ Remix)

The internet was alight last night with a lot of people talking about Missy Elliott's performance at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors. Of course the honour was well deserved for Missy, who's proven that she's still got it. The "lil chubby chick from VA" continues to hustle hard, and I believe it's safe to say she is an inspiration to many. Further to that point, her music has inspired an endless onslaught of remixes, the most recent release coming from MikeQ. His take on "She's A Bitch" was actually made last year, but we can thank Missy's performance for this ballroom vogue flip finally seeing the light of day.

Now, I've previously written about MikeQ here, so perhaps you're already familiar with his work, and while this comes in the same vein as much of his catalog, the symbiosis between the two is truly a treat for the ears. Apparent immediately from Missy's shout out to Mike, the track ceases to be one artist's take on another, it's become a track worthy of standing on its own. While club music isn't necessarily supposed to be smooth or polished (and I'm not really sure this is), it certainly has a velvety feel. Of course it's more tuned towards the club via MikeQ's demanding dance disposition. Finally, as I was writing this piece I saw that DJ Jayhood, the man behind the Jersey Club flip of "She's A Bitch" that Missy used in her performance last night, uploaded that very track. Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Adventure Club ft. SONDAR - Breathe (Indiginis Remix)

I've been a fan of Indiginis ever since I heard their collab with Blu J, "Hallucinating" last summer. I later wrote about their undeniably cool take on Missy Elliott's "GET UR FREAK ON," here. Since then they've gone on to release 3 new productions in less than 2 weeks, an original in "A Love Lost" and two remixes. The most recent of those remixes is of Adventure Club's "Breathe," transformed in typical Indiginis fashion. Their tunes always strike me as if produced in a jazz club of the future, the groove always guides the cool action amidst sneakily strong percussion and deliriously delightful chords. You'll be hard pressed to find any other artists able to craft such quality, especially with the type of consistency as Indiginis. You'll even note the majority of their releases are available for free download.Hear the latest from Indiginis on tonight's all new episode of Bump In The Hump. They'll join a slew of sensational summer type tracks from Future Magic, Dom Dias, and Attlas. There's also at least three artist making their Radio Humber debuts. We also get ready for a BADLQQK bent two weeks, with a clip from my conversation with label manager Biz Davis, before his set for My Mixtape this Friday. Missy Elliott - GET UR FRK ON (Indiginis Re-Fresh)

You may already know DC's Indiginis from their numerous remixes, or even from their original collaboration with Blu J, as heard on Bump In The Hump, but if this is the first you're hearing of them, buckle in for some sexy sounds. Their latest, a remix of Missy Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On," may be their deepest cut yet. You would never expect to hear Missy as a jazz club stunner, but that's just what Indiginis have done with it. They deliver drums that cry out their creative groove, playing perfectly with the emotionally involved piano. It twists your insides making you feel so many unexpected emotions, especially when you consider Missy's lyrics. It's simplistic enough that it could be preformed by a four or five piece band, yet each element plays such an important role, combining to create the jazz group of the future. I've written about future jazz before, specifically Luca Lush and Bishu's remix of "Alaska," and this one fits that mold just the same. It's alive and full of feeling, and gives me hope for the future of music, specifically the genre of the moment, future bass. While this isn't exactly future bass, that's the way some of the fills, breaks and certainly the drop lean. This is truly unique, and undeniably awesome.

SVANI - Bootleg Pack

Norway's SVANI recently broke the quadruple digit followers mark on her soundcloud and has graced us all with a five track bootleg pack for our listening and DJing pleasures.

The above Busta Rhymes "Dangerous" vocal edit of her original "YAASSS," leads the mashup bootleg package, with it's undeniable club capabilities. Upon first listening, SVANI immediately evoked SOPHIE, and in some perfect, almost eerie, realization of desires SVANI also included a mashup of SOPHIE's club smasher "MSMSMSM," combined with Sugur Shane's vocals. The combinations SVANI creates are ridiculously lethal and could easily appear in a Baauer, Hudson Mohawke or RL Grime set. Add into the mix a nasty Missy Elliott/Mapalma mashup, Njena Reddd Foxxx "Jackie Brown" on top of Los Timbres' "Flute" and soul crushing edit of Kelela's "Rewind."
