German Santana - Doinks
Maybe I missed it, but I don't think I've seen a track sampling Young King Dave's viral video "Big doinks in Amish." Of course there's been dozens of parodies and memes, but I'm talking about a proper track with a simple callback to the hilarious delivery of YKD's now infamous line. Fittingly it was Blaze It Records that came through with the dope, and straight from the source at that, as it's cartel leader German Santana that brought the beats. Musically "Doinks" is a raw and simple roll; a trap beat that does the trick primarily through thunderous bass and plucks that almost sound like the track's onomatopoeic title. Then of course there's the sample that leads into the bleepy drops, and most importantly the meme isn't the key to the success of the track, it simply amplifies it. All in all "Doinks" isn't a groundbreaking, must have track, but it would certainly work in a set with additional allure from the comical callback.
