Lil Pump - Gucci Gang (headstone Edition)

Australian club and trap producer headstone has been making waves for a while now with releases on Jadū Dala, Shifty Rhythms and SIDECHAINS, which also warranted a NEST HQ premiere. This week he dropped a banging bootleg mix of Lil Pump's "Gucci Gang." While it has the same atmosphere as original to start, it's clear this version has way more oomph and club considerations than the aforementioned original. Not only has he made it more bad-ass through additional bass, breaks and effects, he's even made it bigger, upping the overall run-time by nearly 50%, and who wouldn't want to get wild to this killer club weapon. It absolutely slaps, while still satisfying those that have to sing along. While I'm here for the raucous rework (hadn't heard the original until today), I'm sure most of the clicks will be generated by Lil Pump fans. Duumu ft. Slyleaf - Illuminate (acaer Remix)

April 14th (which seems like an eternity ago), French producer Duumu released his 4 track Illuminate EP on Monstercat. Today Atlanta's acaer, fresh off the release of his track "Drunk" on the Jadū Dala/Sola compilation, returns with a remix of Duumu's title track. He's transformed the acoustically driven anthem into fluttery future bass that ups the intensity of the feels established in the original.

Slyleaf's vocals continue to paint a serene image, while finding more potency in the bed acaer's built. The whole revision screams of majesty, from the stripped down open through the resplendent rising of the tides and eventual flood of feelings found in flourishes during the drops. There's no denying the delightful nature of the sound design in the drop, but it's the seamless progression from steely to sultry synths that makes their playfulness so powerful and alluring. Whereas the original version of "Illuminate" brought the sun shine slowly over the mountain tops, acaer's remix is the equivalent of the rays bursting through the clouds following a violent storm. Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Cozway - Reveries

I've long touted label Jadū Dala's ability to find and foster talent from across the globe. Their latest release, a cosigned compilation with Sola, runs through 10 tracks from Blush, acaer and Son-J, among others. One of those others, and the name I was drawn to first, was Cozway, in large part because of his Jadū release "Windbreaker." And this is where the story gets good: upon arriving on the soundcloud page I found that Cozway is from Victoria. Of course this means that he's eligible to be played on Radio Humber, and that's just what I'm going to do tonight on Bump In The Hump. His latest, "Reveries" has some of his trademark grit, among bent synths and powerful percussion. Richfellow - Rouse

I've written about Jadū Dala here before, highlighting them as one of my favourite places to find new, quality and original music on Soundcloud (see IBI. - Arrival). The label which has been around for just over a year (May 25th to be exact), just saw it's milestone 50th release. But that's not the only reason it's special. Jesse Babini, one of the founders of the Philadelphia based tastemakers, is the man behind the madness that is "Rouse." Known more widely as Richfellow, Babini has brought to the table exactly what makes Jadū Dala such a force. The trap they put out is always wild and wonky, truly pushing the boundaries, not just in their style, but their sounds as well.

"Rouse" starts subtle before proceeding to blasts your ears with the sound of air rushing out of a balloon as Babini stretches and plays it like an instrument. To be clear I do not know what that sound is or how he's made it, but my god is it crisp, original and all kinds of awesome. Whatever it is, it is pure magic, as we've come to expect from the "Magical Music Outfit." There have only been two times in my life when I can say I've been as awestruck with a track as I have been with "Rouse" - 1: Baauer's "Dum Dum" and 2: RL Grime's "Core." Quite the comparison I know, but "Rouse" truly is special, and in true Jadū Dala form they've delivered this delirium inducing track free. Get it via Hive, here. IBI. - Arrival

Some tracks just scream cool right off the bat, and the latest from incredible internet label Jadū Dala does just that. From the mind of mysterious producer IBI. "Arrival," had my attention right out of the gates, a far cry from the majority of stuff on soundcloud nowadays. It's almost like I had landed on some weird planet in the midst of an alien ritual. The opening action is like an acapella group warming up, while surrounded by bubbling volcanoes oozing in the distance. The atmosphere in this part is uber cool, combining sounds in a way I've never heard before, making it one of the most original and enticing opening minutes ever. But IBI. is only laying the groundwork for what ends up as a truly jaw-dropping experimental future trap production.

As all the odd, alien elements come together the percussion starts to take over, causing the ritual to turn digital and begin to glitch. The already fluttering vocal bits get even more trippy (as if that were possible) as they stumble on the roadblocks of bouncing bass and punchy trap percussion. Whereas the opening minute was an acapella warm up, this second half has become an all at once jam session that both fights amongst itself, yet plays perfectly. It's at this point that I get lost for words, and simply cannot quantify what is happening. It is truly unlike any track I've ever heard before, and I absolutely love it. There really is nothing better than something so creative and original, especially when it comes together in utter brilliance the way IBI. has done with "Arrival."
