After our so-called Coronaversary episode last week, we've got one of our hardest this week as we rage, rage, rage into the night. Following epics from CFCF and Caribou, Bump In The Hump's second-hour starts with six impala and "6FINGERDEATHPUNCH," which in turn sends the whole show into a flurry of fire that includes all kinds of bass, trap, dubstep, and DnB.
From the massive FORM All Nighter Vol. 6 compilation, in which 800+ artists spent 24 consecutive hours creating tracks for Prevent Child Abuse America, "6FINGERDEATHPUNCH" showcases six impala in rare form. Always difficult to define, the band lay down perhaps their cleanest and most direct production to date. That said, the essence of six impala can be found throughout the track, especially as they tweak the vocals and play with the sound effects that remind me of NES classic Kung Fu.
