Much like the inaugural edition of Yacht Disco Edits, the most recent compilation opens with Melbourne-to-Paris transplant Sam Roney, aka LeBRON. And like that first track, "Waiting," this new Too Slow To Disco release is all kinds of enrapturing. Maybe it's because of the album artwork, but there's just something so warm and soothing about "Open Up," as though it were the essence of the sun's golden hour glory.
Filling the air with his fabulous grooves, LeBRON's genius laps at the shore with resplendent swells that are sure to buoy your spirits. Uplifting indeed, "Open Up" is a perfect fit for Too Slow To Disco as it bounds along beautifully, as though gravity has been turned down a notch or two. With each ascension, you shed a shackle, becoming lighter and freer, more hopeful and enthusiastic. It certainly gave me that feeling yesterday as I was finally able to ride my bike outside after a year-long-month of being stuck on a stationary bike. And I mean, how could you not feel as light as a feather while soaking in these sublime sounds and radiant rays?
