Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Kermode - Universe LP

Vancouver bass artist Kermode has an epic catalog with over 100 tracks on his Soundcloud alone. This week he released a ten track LP entitled Universe, which like his catalog holds a mixture of bright, more future bass tuned tracks alongside darker, more blistering electro and bass house type tracks. This mixture also mimics the rare subspecies from which Kermode gets his name. While related to the black bear, the Kermode bear is in many cases white, earning the name spirit bear in British Colombia. Further leaning into his namesake creature, Kermode's music seems intrinsically tied to some sort of mysticism, often titularly so. See "Angels And Demons" and last year's EP Retro Ghost. In Universe he combines sensuous and powerful sound design in a way that is sure to inspire a bass awakening. Stream the LP below, get it here and hear a track from it on Bump In The Hump tonight.
