Before there was PLUR, even before TLC, there was L.T.D. The Greensboro group of Love, Togetherness, and Devotion scored 3 R&B chart toppers in the 70s, headlined by their most widely popular funk number "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again." Sandwiched between that and their breakout hit "Love Ballad," was the title track of their 3rd album Love To The World.
An intergalactic groove number, lead by Jeffrey Osbourne and L.T.D.'s slick strings and hot horn section, it thrives through its anthemic, all encompassing love. That said, this mix by Joey Negro doubles down on that adoring disco atmosphere, smoothing over all imperfections in the original's groove. Negro's knack for percussion leads the luxurious and effortless reconstitution that is this disco edit. Supremely smooth in its delivery and equally so its aura, "Love To The World" paints the picture of all of god's creatures playing in harmony as you watch from above on a golden cloud. Beyond bliss, it is a disco dreamland. Travel there with the 3rd installment of Joey Negro's genius Remixed With Love series, which also includes remixes of Lonnie Liston Smith, Gwen McCrae and more, available here.FOLLOW JOEY NEGRO: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER
