RL Grime - Valhalla (Reaper Remix)

If there's one thing I've noticed with RL Grime's recent productions, it's that the more DnB flavour it draws the more amped I get and the more I enjoy it. Case in point this new take on Void single "Valhalla" from fresh face and fast riser Reaper. Recently Reaper's remixes of "I Do Coke" and "Into The Light" have gained serious traction with 13 rinsing out the latter in his set at REBEL (see here). All kinds of explosive energy and destruction dominate this mix, playing perfectly against the now iconic siren wail. The frantic feeling and apocalyptic soundscape fit in both RL's older style and newer output. While there's nothing like throwing up trap arms, the outpouring of energy a jacked up DnB twist brings is even better. Krayysh - Running From Death

To say Krayysh has come on strong in the last few months would be an understatement. After essentially starting from scratch six months ago with "Underthinking Things," he's since released an official remix for Mat Zo and Kill The Noise then proceeded to break brains with the aptly titled 132.86 BPM track, "13286." He returned today with a wild and animalistic release on Mad Zoo. Apparently inspired a dream in which a demon chased him through a forest, "Running From Death" really does depict a chase scene that might fit perfectly in Baby Driver or whatever movie Tom Cruise is running in at the moment. However, I might argue that instead of a demon, it's producers that are chasing Krayysh in an effort to steal his creative juices. The energy is enough to make your brain explode or at least your chest heave involuntarily. But it's not just random dissonant destruction, it's actually quite ingeniously crafted. While the drums pummel, and the synths screech, Krayysh has woven a wicked connection that creates an incredible unease throughout. Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Kill The Zo - Part I (Krayysh Remix)

After a week devoted entirely to house, Bump In The Hump is back with an all new hour of Canadian tunes with just about everything but house. There's dubstep, drum and bass, trap, future bass, techno and this gritty, stomping electro number from Krayysh. After wiping his socials clean and finally reappearing with "Underthinking Things" in March, Toronto's Krayysh is back again with a major splash. Remixing either Kill The Noise or Mat Zo is a tremendous accomplishment, but to be tapped to take on their collaborative effort Kill The Zo's "Part I," is quite the coup. As we saw with his previous production, this one is nearly impossible to define, it's a touch funky, definitely dark and dirty, and shows a strong affinity for futuristic electro feels. Despite its short runtime, it's clear why Kill The Zo's called on Krayysh.As promised above, I've got a host of hard hitting tracks from the likes of Lunice, Rezz, Rene LaVice, Vincent and ANGELZ. Bump In The Hump: WWRD Interview

Today's the day! Bump In The Hump returns for its fourth season on 96.9 FM Radio Humber. As promised, I've got three tracks to get your hyped for this groundbreaking, episode. Two weeks ago I had WWRD in studio for an interview, in which we chatted about her connection to Anna Lunoe, who she would most like collab with, how she got signed to BADLQQK, and her forthcoming track "Blitzen," among other things. Below is a quick snippet of what you can expect from our laidback conversation. I'll also be uploading a behind-the-scenes, uncut version of the interview later tonight.  As I have been doing all week, I've once again uploaded another Kenan Habibovic produced promo, the third and final for the fourth season. This one showcases something I'll be focusing more heavily on this season, festivals, and with it a new weekly feature replacing the Fire Finale. That new feature is called the Weekend Warm-up. Always ending Bump In The Hump with a track from a Canadian artist that will be performing at a festival or club night that weekend, in the immediate area, whether it's Ever After in Kitchener, Wayhome in Oro-Medonte, Osheaga in Montreal or Bestival right here in Toronto. Throwback Thursday: Feed Me - Mordez Moi

For this week's installment of my TBT series, it is my pleasure to re-introduce the world to one of the bleepiest, bounciest, bassiest, grimiest, most raw, rolling electro-heavy and technologically inspired tracks I ever encountered, Feed Me's "Mordez Moi." Upon looking back in researching for today's post, I've realized that I was significantly late getting in on this track, which although it was released in late 2008, it was a year later when it finally appeared in my iTunes library alongside, his other two breakthrough tracks "The Spell" and "Raw Chicken." These three tracks, all released on the same day ("Mordez Moi" on Noisia's Division label and the other two on mau5trap), marked the first releases from Feed Me, who before that was known exclusively as Spor. Since that time, Jon Gooch, has released numerous EPs and remixes both as his electro house/dubstep persona, Feed Me, and his drum and bass guise, Spor.
