As we enter into September, a month often associated with new beginnings, we'll be looking back at the best tracks from the 21 'At Home' episodes of Bump In The Hump. While I'm calling tonight's episode the "Best Of Lockdown," that's more of a loose, catch-all as opposed to a hard and fast criterion. This does not mean that the tracks were released or even made during 'lockdown' (whatever that means), but rather that the tracks aired in episodes following the shutdown. Regardless, tonight's episode drops the all-new element and reminds us of the incredible creations we've encountered in this stressful, six month stretch of time.
Without giving the whole tracklist away, I've picked three tracks with telling titles to tease tonight's episode. First, "The Future Is The Past" is pretty on the nose as the future (tonight's episode) is indeed made up of (tracks from) the past. Second, our socials lives have taken a hit thanks to COVID-19, so again "Lovers In A Dangerous Time" rings as true as ever. Finally, and as important as ever, we need "Acceptance" as it is imperative that we understand and come to terms with this 'new reality' in order to make the best of it. And that's just it, the Best Of episode of Bump In The Hump premieres tonight at 7 PM EDT on Radio Humber and can be found after the fact as cataloged on Mixcloud here.
