Deev - Hafla

Over the holidays, Lebanese dubstep producer Deev released a fire freebie entitled "Hafla." Blending Arabic instruments and blistering bass, the whole track is a whirlwind of energy, that at times explodes into a onslaught of DnB. The allure of the strings (both plucked and bowed) sweep you off your feet before getting drop-kicked by the force of the fulsome dub/drum-step delivery. These two elements work wonderfully together; just as the black hole of bass seems suffocating, the organic elements ease back in, giving you a breather as you enjoy the scent of spices and the vision of a colourful bazaar. As the track progresses and you get deeper into "Hafla," a word which means party, the wilder and more deranged it gets. All kinds of debauchery and seduction spin around you, and you can't help but take part. And why not give into the wicked wonder of such a sensation, you only live once right?FOLLOW DEEV: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER
