SEPHA - what we wished we'd said
Last week London's Joey Aybak, better known as SEPHA, unleashed another exciting addition to his already exceptional library. "what we wished we'd said" joins the likes of his DISTOP // EP, which was brilliantly categorized as "Weird Faith." While this is the first time I've heard any SEPHA, I can sincerely say I've never heard anything quite like this before. The deeper I get into his discography, the more I melt in its incredible glow. This track in particular shows off both his potent production ability and vocal performance. The groove has real grit that exudes an alluring aura, locking you in with a load of popping percussion. But it's not just the electronic elements that elevate the excellence of this track; as I said with SEPHA's singing above, he's able to showcase serious strength, which wonderfully wraps around both your head and the musical bed. "what we wished we'd said" shows off true puppet mastery, so powerful that SEPHA can "cut off these string" yet still make us move in whatever way he wants. As the writer, performer and producer, SEPHA is truly a talent to keep your eyes and ears on.FOLLOW SEPHA: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER
