The lead track from Estonian producer Sound In Noise's just released Shapes, Pt. 1 EP has been making massive waves since the beginning of this month. Premiered by René LaVice and given multiple rewinds on Andy C's recent Essential Mix (as recorded live at XOYO), "Cowards" has both the stamps of approval and the incredible quality necessary to make it a weapon in any DnB set.
From the ominous first note and spine-tingling build that sounds like the battle horns of the Uruk-hai horde, it's clear that this track is a cold-blooded killer. However unlike the sheer brutish force of said unholy scourge, "Cowards" commands an exceptional skill in slicing up its enemies with precise percussion atop brooding bass and pernicious progression. That said, it does indeed inspire fear and will surely leave listeners shaking in their boots as the storm of snares approach. Unleash the onslaught that is "Cowards" and find the full Shapes, Pt. 1 EP, out now on RAM Records, here.FOLLOW SOUND IN NOISE: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER
