Matroda. Absolutely menacing in its metallic, space age austerity, this take on
Adam Beyer and
Bart Skils "
Your Mind" will leave you searching for your sanity and stability alike, as all solid ground is stripped from beneath your feet. Rocky in
Matroda's new heavy machinery style delivery, the
Drumcode release has become an interstellar mining mission. Think
Armageddon, just instead of a drill it's a jackhammer; and yes, it's still directed by Michael Bay as
Matroda's laced this production with more TNT than a Wile E. Coyote sketch. That said "
Your Mind" isn't all shock and awe, it's an expertly crafted progression and interplay between the bass-line, onslaught of effects and alien atmosphere, all wrapped around hypnotizing vocals.
