Mickey Kojak - Get Out (Mickey's '07 Club Edit)
Back in June Aussie producer Mickey Kojak scored a hit with the sensational "Get Out." Friday, he flipped it on its head taking the track to 2007 and cleaving it into a club creeper. Led by a brilliant drum line, space-age bleeps and bloops, and an indie feel reminiscent of MGMT, the original is all kinds of alluring, full of earworm warmth. This new version however takes a more expansive approach, slowly building towards more typical club-style drops, all while maintaining the magic of the original. The dazzling drum design still shines strong, summoning you to the dance floor. The depth of this new drop keeps you there, as though falling into a bottomless pit. But that is the story of the first drop, where the strength of the second is its ecstasy inducing, reach-for-the-sky resplendent riser. Like its lyrical content, it eviscerates all evil, cutting out the cancer, allowing freedom to flourish. It's not often a club edit can be as poignant and powerful as the original, but this is the case here, stream/purchase here.FOLLOW MICKEY KOJAK: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER
