Plaisir - Visa Pour Aimer (Folamour Fxxx Their Borders Edit)

Before I could even get to Soundcloud today, I had found the track I wanted to write about. Opening up Twitter I saw the familiar face of Folamour. His post began by addressing his France Gall edit, and the thought process behind his free edits, releasing them whenever he felt "a reason and meaning behind it." Today's release, a take on Plaisir's "Visa Pour Aimer," arose out of a personal loss, primarily as a result of border issues and the forcible division that seems to be rearing its ugly head these days.

Just like the aforementioned edit, this too opens with a dope drum delivery, flourishing through funky, live performance. But it's not just the drums that excel through the organic elocution, Folamour's new studio has grown to include guitar and bass, only further lending itself to this classic creation. All these elements come together to make "Visa Pour Aimer" an ingenious edit, uniting the dance-floor under a familiar funky groove.
