DJ Galenic - Martin

Croatian producer DJ Galenic started the year off right dropping a superb slice of tech house, "Martin."
Add this to his continually growing catalog of releases ranging in genre from from trap and house to dubstep and melbourne bounce. Galenic is clearly passionate about music, learning and experimenting with sounds, styles and techniques; "Martin," marks a more cultured, finely seasoned and mature turn in his output. The percussion is reminiscent of a Pleasurekraft or Renaissance Man production. The rise and fall in his synths creates substantial atmosphere, moving the track and it's revelers, vigorously mixing up and down, left and right. Whereas his previous effort "Zagarich" is best suited for festival follies, and his official release, "ANA," could have big rooms bouncing around the world; "Martin" is perfectly suited for any DJ set, big or small. Roll into the new year and pick up this riser for free courtesy of Galenic's kind heart.

Azealia Banks - Chasing Time (Mederic Remix)

Parisian producer Mederic is quickly becoming known for his funky disco house inspired remixes, and he's gone and delivered yet another masterful club friendly remix, this time giving Azealia Banks' "Chasing Time," a bright and bouncy make over.
The rise of tropical house popularity becomes obvious when you get transported to a beautiful beach-scape by the ridiculously stunning and alluring sounds that have become synonymous with the subgenre. Mederic is clearly aware of the massive power that those tropical vibes possess and puts them to good use breathing life into already beautiful and formidable vocals. His production value sparkles and shines, like the waves lapping on the shores of your mind as you sink deeper in your lounge chair. Make sure you check out both his remix of Mary J. Blige's "Family Affair," and his simply divine, original, "Don't Wanna Be," which stands as one of my favourite, most-listenable, tracks of 2015.

Kidswaste - Neiro

I imagine many of you are still getting acclimated to 2016, while your blood alcohol content continues to fall after what I can only assume was a debaucherous New Years Eve. I, too, still cannot bring myself to listen to any 'lit, bangers' or any 'bro-down, fam' tracks; it's time to leave those memes, mindsets and verily 2015 itself behind. Let's start anew, with beautiful, creative and thought provoking music. Immediately upon hearing "Neiro" from Kidswaste I knew this was something that I could wake up or fall asleep to, listen to at literally any time, and still get the wave of emotions so brilliantly brought about by the genius of Kidswaste's production. "Neiro" is the perfect kind of track for new beginnings, it builds and creates in some sort of musical genesis, but it's goal and purpose is undefined; it is truly existential, allowing the listener to make of it what the will. That is the real beauty in music, it means and holds within it everything for everyone. Music is the magic of everyday life.
