As I'm sure you know by now, the seemingly eternal hope of new
Daft Punk was dashed Monday as the duo announced their split. While it had been years since we shared in new
Daft Punk or even a live show/DJ set, their ability to bring people together remains as strong as ever. The outpouring of emotion from fans and artists alike only further illustrated their immeasurable impact and influence. From their sampling techniques to their sound and style, it's hard to imagine the scene without Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. And while there will certainly be a torrent of touching tributes and clout-chasing bootlegs in the coming days, I've decided to offer my farewell with three fabulous offerings from
