Krooner & Hotblood - A.M.A

Over the last few years, I've found myself falling out of love with what was one of my favourite genres, bass house (despite that not being its name when I first fell for it). I've found that it, like so many genres that blow up, had become bland, boring and largely unoriginal. That said, there are still numerous occasions where its power and creativity really shine. This GOLD DiGGER track from Krooner and Hotblood is one of those.

"A.M.A" is billed as "a very original bass single," and while that sent an eyebrow shooting upwards, it does indeed capture a unique quality. All kinds of lasers and other effects punctuate the otherwise simple and subtle opening as Krooner and Hotblood slowly turn up the tension ahead of the drop. And this is where "A.M.A" really takes off. About as off-kilter as it gets, this unique joint revs through several gear changes, like a supercar ripping around the Nürburgring. The combination of the funky guitar plucks, the onslaught of effects, slinky synths and continually churning low end is simply stunning.

A perfect fit for any racing game, "A.M.A" is available for free via Hypeddit here and elsewhere here.
