At Da Spa," however he came back this weekend with a half hour of hard-hitting tunes in the first episode of new SevSquad Mixtape series. Highlighted by IDs from both
LUKAV and
CRaymak, the tracklist is chalk full of fire and free-form bass. It serves as a strong re-introduction to the wide ranging heat
Sevla has served up through his releases including originals "
Bandits" and "Consider This" as well as his remix of
Shaun Frank's "
Let You Get Away." The mix is at times rapid-fire with its explosive power pounding through the first seven or so tracks, raising the bar by backhanding us with banger after banger. However as the mix hits the halfway mark, there's a bit of a breather to allow the blood rush back in with the beyond barbaric "
Babatunde." But if you thought that was as dark, harrowing and medieval as this mix could get you'd be gravely mistaken. The slew of savagery that follows is simply stunning.
