Full, Uncut Interview with Blair Malott

Last weekend I welcomed Blair Malott to the Radio Humber studios for a chat ahead of his episode of My Mixtape which airs this Saturday, February 2nd at 11 PM EST. This is that conversation in full.

We discuss why he left Staccato behind in lieu of his given name; the therapeutic, experimental nature of his new, bass driven, side project Decarboxilate; his recent afterhours sets; working with Chuck Woodward; his upcoming releases; working with local labels and talent; and his episode of My Mixtape.FOLLOW BLAIR MALOTT: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER

Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Greg Gow - People Mover EP

Veteran Toronto DJ and producer Greg Gow has been moving people for the better part of two decades, most recently with the three track People Mover EP which came out Monday on Swedish imprint Truesoul. Not only will you hear a cut from said EP on tonight's episode of Bump In The Hump, you can also see him live in person as part of CODA's 5 Year Anniversary Saturday with Carl Craig, Mike Gibbs and Jackie Spade (RSVP/Tickets). Stream below and pick up People Mover now here.CODA is not the only one with an anniversary this weekend, as my friends at FUXWITHIT will also be celebrating their 5th year Friday at Nightowl (RSVP). However it's not just about anniversaries but also opening parties, as RL Grime plays the Grand Opening of Toybox (previously UNIUN) [RSVP/Tickets]. It's not all about clubs either, rather Bump In The Hump is packed with tracks that you can get down to anywhere you like. We're stocked up with future funk, wave, future bass, dubstep, trap, and remixes of both Hans Zimmer and Nero. Plus we're back to new episodes of My Mixtape, so we'll get you set up for the return of Blair Malott with a clip of my conversation with the artist formerly known as Staccato. All that and more live from 7-9 PM EST via Radio Humber and as cataloged on Mixcloud.
