Two weeks ago Bump In The Hump had more drum and bass than ever before and while today doesn't feature any out and out DnB tracks, its influence can certainly be heard in "Flymmer." Released free as part of Inspected's latest compilation, the track has the standard Hudson Lee genre tag custom as it too cannot be cornered into a singular subset. "Flymmer" features a number of phases, modes and moods, and too draws from the DnB background of German producer Tom Finster. A wild ride and a reminder of the vast reaches of the ever expanding electronic music scene, stream "Flymmer" below, get the compilation for free here and catch it in the mix from 7-9 EST tonight on 96.9 FM Radio Humber.FOLLOW HUDSON LEE: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER

Culprate - Jelly & Ice-Cream
Last week we got a tease of Bristol bass boss Culprate's forthcoming EP Others in a nearly 5 minute mini-mix via Inspected's soundcloud. Today we get our first play in the third track of eight, the gob-smacking interstellar sweetness that is "Jelly & Ice-Cream." Befitting of its title it is crisp, conspicuously cold and simply impossible to pass up. But this is no regular bowl of sweet treats, its power is more than a brainfreeze, although it brings those too. Culprate's concoction is a lethal combination of mind-altering melodies, alien intelligence, cruelly crafted grooves and deft sound design. The first few spoonfuls of this substance seem easy, but quickly the bass breaks through sending you diving into your own mind, seizing on the inside as all kinds of flashing lights and images invade. The brief break in the middle is muddied, shaken unsureness. The rising return of madness seems almost unbearable before becoming somehow satisfying while hitting stride off of the psychotic mixture that is "Jelly & Ice-Cream." Suck back the bliss-inducing bass on Bandcamp and pre-order Others, out November 22nd.FOLLOW CULPRATE: FACEBOOK SOUNDCLOUD TWITTER
