Westwood Recordings and their
X imprint released a new compilation a couple weeks back with
X's Vol. 5. We've already heard a few cuts from the comp on
Bump In The Hump, but my favourite
Konka's "
Corsette" finally finds a home in this week's all new episode. Part of an extended run of bangers,
Konka unleashes a brilliant blend of brass and bass amidst a storm of percussion. "
Corsette" becomes a real bump and grind affair after its initial drop, inspiring its listeners to hit something. As though a theme made for Red Bull's Crashed Ice, the ominous opening, closing and bridging sections set the scene as the skaters take their marks before diving into chaos and crushed bones as the drops (and the skaters) hit.
