This past weekend I reconnected with Allan Eggert, who shows off another side of his musical oeuvre as Kryojen, this week's guest on My Mixtape. We've already heard his episode as KVIII (here), and while I was under the impression that was his more house centric project, it turns out Kryojen has a forthcoming house track. Full Interview with Allan Eggert

This past weekend I had to opportunity to speak with one of Canada's best kept secrets: the enigmatic and multi-talented, Allan Eggert. He's the man behind both Kryojen and KVIII (a divide we discuss in the interview), as well as the label manager behind newly formed Curvv Music. Full interview below.
Over the course of our conversation we tackled the following topics: his introduction to production, his background with piano among other instruments, the origin of Curvv and its direction, the success of KVIII's Masterclass track "Silence" and the 'acoustic house' style it spurred, and of course his upcoming episode of My Mixtape, which falls under the KVIII moniker. Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Kryojen - Hollow

Last week I lauded the luxury hosting Bump In The Hump offers, it allows me to connect with artists of all kinds, and again I'm feeling that, while focusing a little more on My Mixtape. The spin-off guest mix show allows those connections to flourish, while showcasing their own music (forthcoming and otherwise), their DJing skills and their taste. After having the eclectic creations of Chromak last week, I welcome the enigmatic Allan Eggert for a mix. But who is Allan? He is both KVIII and Kryojen, a divide he'll explain in my conversation with him, a clip of which you'll hear tonight, with the full version available tomorrow. Alongside his production roles, he's also label manager of the newly formed Curvv Music. And while I'm teasing this episode with their first release, a Kryojen track, it's in fact the KVIII moniker who will be taking us through My Mixtape this Saturday at 11 PM EDT.
