German groove genius Purple Disco Machine is in Toronto tonight, playing Goldie alongside Nick Fiorucci (RSVP/Tickets). What better time to break out his killer Chromeo cocktail, "Juice." It opens tonight's episode of Bump In The Hump as we once again make our way through the latest and greatest in dance and electronic from across the country. Don your dancing shoes and mix it up.There's more than an hour of house (disco, deep, tech, bass and otherwise), and that's pretty much the norm, but what isn't is the six artists making their Bump In The Hump debuts. There's some really cool stuff from each half of Talal & Zoi, who play Parlour together Saturday with Death On The Balcony (RSVP/Tickets). A couple of classics from Diana Ross and Tears For Fears get retouched by two of our more trusted names in Barry Harris and Jerome Robins, and the new classic from from Loud Luxury gets yet another remix. Plus we get a first play of a forthcoming track from bass house badman Blansh. And yet of course we wind up the two hour extravaganza with a four part grimy dubstep section. Purple Disco Machine - Dished (Male Stripper)

Puple Disco Machine seems to be everywhere right now. Last week I fell back in love with his mix of Chromeo's "Juice" after hearing A-Trak play it in his mix for The Do-Over. Just this morning I saw that he is set to play with Nick Fiorucci at Goldie Bar here in Toronto May 23rd (RSVP/Tickets). Then when I turn to Soundcloud I see a brand new release on Club Sweat. "Dished (Male Stripper)" is of course a disco delight, that is an obvious Ibiza nod, giving way to warmth, freedom and absolutely unabated optimism. It pulses with pure pleasure through spirited synths and spring loaded string sweeps, making it the kind of track that will keep you dancing through till sunrise. Bump In The Hump Sneak Peek: Chromeo - Juice Bonus Remixes

After sharing remixes from Chris Lake, Felix Snow and Purple Disco Machine last week, Chromeo have just doubled down on their "Juice" remix package. Yesterday they dropped an additional four, free remixes from the likes of Yuksek, Damaged Goods, Televisor and Party Pupils. With four of the best names in disco and funk, you'd be silly to think I wouldn't jump at the opportunity to bring more "Juice" to Bump In The Hump. So I leave you with the playlist below, while you try to figure out which I'll play.This will be the last live episode of Bump In The Hump this year, while next week will play host to my favourite cuts from 2017's enormous list of 50 episodes. There are indeed a few teasers of what you can expect next week, including the aforementioned Funklordz. You can also expect to hear some Carly Rae Jepsen, both tonight and next week. Last week hype alarms went off when Canadian kings Chromeo gave word that new music was right around the corner with a cheeky video teasing forthcoming album Head Over Heels. As it happens we've rounded that corner today, with the pulpy premiere of "Juice" on Beats 1. After that excitement, all your favourite outlets now have the succulent song stocked and ready to serve.
